James Gardiner
Class of 1989 - Hockey
James Gardiner is arguably the best hockey player to have played for Old Rochester Regional.
- Voted Best Athlete of 1989 Jim was a hockey captain for 2 years.
- He was a League All Star 2 years, Standard Times All Star 2 years, and Boston Globe All Star his senior year when hockey wasn't recognized here in Southeastern Mass.
Jim holds 3 school scoring records including career goals and assists. His career point total was over 200. ( 129 goals and 72 assists! )
He led ORR scoring 4 years in a row and led his teams to state playoffs. Following his high school career he played 2 years of hockey at UMass Lowell and 2 years at UMass Dartmouth where his accolades included ECAC first team all star, New England College Hockey Writer's All Star and 7th player award.
Jim is married and he and his wife Mary Kate and his three children Charlie, Lily, and Thomas live in Fairfield Conn. He owns a real estate development company, CLT Deveopment.
