Bill Knapton, captain and MVP of the Bulldog Football team, had an outstanding Track Season his senior year.
Billy broke Peter Trow's season record with 158+ points in spring track and joined Peter representing ORR as state champions travelling to Minneapolis, MN to participate in the Nation Wide Junior Chamber of Commerce Track Meet.
- Bill held the ORR Record in the long jump from 1971 to 2011
- His record that year was broken by his son Ian!
He still holds the ORR HS school pole vault record.
He lives in Mattapoisett with his wife, Karen and athletic sons Ian and Colin, and works at Triad Boat Works.
