Rarely do we find an athlete with credentials so impressive

that first ballot induction to the Hall of Fame is a given.

Scott Vandament fits that bill perfectly. Competing in Track, his running record is tough to match.

Scott was selected team MVP twice, and elected Captain for both winter and spring track in 1986.

His accomplishments are outstanding, By 1996 he held school records in the 50, 100 and 200 yard dashes.

He lead the conference in the 100 in 85’ and lead the conference in the 100 and 200 in 86’.

Scott also went undefeated in dual meets in the 100 and 200 in 86’,

and won the prestigious Dennis-Yarmouth invitational in the 100 in both 85’ and 86’.

Scott also won the South Coast Conference titles in both the 100 and 200 in 1986.

His accomplishments also followed him to the states,

where he placed 2nd in the class D meet and 7th in the states.

After high school, Scott attended Salem State College where he earned a Criminal Justice degree.

 Scott ran track for 2 years while at Salem State.

Unfortunately, he sustained a leg injury, which cut his promising track career short.

Scott returned to school later in life and earned a Business degree from Ashworth College.

Scotts love of track followed him into the mid 90’s. He spent many seasons as both an assistant and head coach locally. Coaching track and cross country at both Middleborough High School and Plymouth South High School. Scott also loved to play and coach soccer. Where he coached at Archbishop Williams, while also helping out with track coaching responsibilities. Scott lives in South Carolina and has recently retired after being a private investigator and Vice President of an investigative company for 20 years. He has taken up photography and currently working on establishing an online clothing store and brand line.
