Kate was an Outstanding Athlete in both Vollyball and Softball at ORR.
- Volleyball 1974-1978 - 4 year starter
- Captain sophmore, junior and senior years.Varsity letters 4 years
- Unanimously voted the number 1 player in the league for 2 years in a row (large Division I schools).
- MVP for 3 years, League all-star 3 years in a row, Standard Times all-star 3 years.
- Served perfect game, 15-0 in junior year.
- Ranked Division I, #1 team in state tournament in 1977. Final record 13-1. Lost in finals.
Softball 1974-1978 (4 different coaches),4 year varsity starter, 4 varsity letters
- Pitched EVERY GAME all 4 years, no relief.!
- MVP 3 years freshman, sophmore, junior, League all-star 3 years,Standard Times all-star 2 years.
- Captain 3 years, sophmore, junior, senior.
Kate was Captain of both volleyball and softball teams at Mount. Ida College. Kate has worked at Old Rochester Regional Jr. High School 1986-present.
- 20 years survival chaperone.
- Town Beach supervisor 10 years.
- Wareham Child Care Center one year (logging for DSS),
- Massachusetts Migrant Program as an assistant 2 years.
- Coach for girls field Hockey 1986- present.
- Coach for girls varsity softball 2 years, volunteered Jv girls softball (for a leave of absence)
- Coach Jv. volleyball Old Rochester. Volunteered: Mattapoisett Town Softball coach 15 Years,
- Relay For Life captain 4 years,
- Girl Scout Leader 8 years, was in 4-H six years and was a volunteer leader for two years.
Kate and her two daughters Kerrin and Kayla live in Mattapoisett.
