Cliff Lopes Jr.
Cliff graduated from ORR in 2000. During his years at ORR he played three varsity sports. In Football he played wide receiver and safety his sophomore and junior years and was voted to the Standard Times " Area All Star Team " as a junior. In his senior year, with the graduation of Bobby Liljedahl, he was moved to his natural position as starting quarterback for the Bulldogs and again was named to the Standard Times " Area All Star Team ".
In Basketball, Cliff was a 3 year starter for ORR Varsity Basketball playing power forward and center.
He was named a Standard Times " Area All Star " and " Southcoast Conference All Star " in both his Jr. and Sr year. Cliff is one of only 5 members of the ORR 1000 Points Club.
Recently Cliff was recognized by Buddy Thomas as a member of " The 20 Greatest ORR Athletes " in both Football (ranked 14th), and Basketball (ranked 3rd.)
Cliff went on to graduate from Central Connecticut University receiving a Bachelors degree in Business Management.
His collegiate athletic career was cut short by a knee injury.
Cliff currently works for VWR as a Sales Representative in the bio-medical field. He is married with two children Clifton III and Mia.
