Cayla Clancy Carbone
Cayla was a dominant force in ORR girls' sports from 2001-2005. She earned 11 total varsity letters in soccer, basketball, and tennis. Cayla was appointed Captain in all 3 sports her senior year.
She amassed over 1,000 points during her basketball career, set the record for 3 pointers and free throw percentage.
She was a Southcoast Conference "All Star" 4 years in a row in both basketball and tennis. In tennis her #1singles record was 68-4 in 4 years of singles play.
Cayla was chosen Standard Times High School "Tennis Player of the Year" for 4 consecutive years, as well as chosen to be on the Standard Times "Super Team" for basketball from 2003-2005.
The Standard Times also designated her as its 2004-2005 "Athlete of the Year".
Cayla was a Dave Cowens Award nominee, a Mass State Student Citizenship Award winner, and the 2004 Wendy's High School Heisman Mass State finalist for her excellence in academics, athletics, and community service.
Cayla graduated with a BA from UMass in 2009.
She and her husband Greg, and son CJ, currently live in Bourne.
