During a time when female athletes were beginning to make their mark in athletics, Kim paved the way for ORR as a state record holder in the long jump, 100, and 4x110 relay, as well as being an SMC leading scorer in field hockey and basketball.  Volleyball, being the “new introductory sport,” was yet another venue where her talents left a considerable impression.

In the 1970’s, Old Rochester Girls Track was fast becoming the dominant authority in both track and field. On the track, Kim amassed numerous points, medals, and recognition, starting in her freshman year. She was also a leading long jumper and sprinter in the league.  Unquestionably, Kim was a force with which to be reckoned with in the SMC League.

Today, Kim Rae resides in Los Angeles, California and is employed in the Orthopedic Hand Surgery Unit at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center.

She has two daughters, Erin Rae, and Danyelle Alexis. She is proud to be called “Nana” by Erin’s three children, and Danyelle is a recent graduate of Cal. State Northridge. Not surprisingly, Kim Rae is still an avid sports fan, and of course LOVES her LAKERS!!!!
